Picked up my first juniper today. Nice movement and nebari. 5 gal for 11 bucks.
What are your recommendations for direction of the main intertwined trunks?75AA19B7-3A86-4ABE-B117-DAD2C2B58FDC.jpeg42CC5B16-18B7-42F1-AEE0-D3E97A74E117.jpeg160BE47E-8F28-4F4B-94DC-7361BA134500.jpegD67841BF-9F4E-483F-A282-7B094BD28B4C.jpeg8C53BA60-156D-47FF-83F3-49449CCA40A2.jpegD853E0E1-F995-4E7A-B344-D3F9F03B82D1.jpegD3566128-7F26-4BFC-8B2F-40569BDBCB7B.jpeg

I am in Southern California. I understand I can prune them a bit as I see fit now but wait on repotting as the hottest parts of the summer are coming on. Is this correct?

Do you see any problems with getting the plant in better soil now with a slight root teasing? It is not root bound, but roots are hitting the bottom of the pot.
