I could be way off base
nope, they're all different with their own peculiar personalities like anybody
...and I know or protest maybe, that the words obedience and cat, generally speaking,
don't belong in a positive sentence together. Generally. Shoot just look at the divorce rate...there ya go.
It's all about compatibility as to whether a cat appears obedient or not...think Garfield.
Sure, breed has a lot to do with it too. I have no idea what I got except a male cat that's pretty lean.
Absolutely precious when he's calmed down. Oh, now I hear my wife chanting QUIT! He's a biter and that needs to stop.
My last male was a biter and sent me to the ER once with that bacteria infection they carry in their mouth.
My arm had red streaks and painfully immobilized. Think about the bathtub scene in What Lies Beneath, paralysis.

Cooper our 4th and only cat, is only the 2nd kitten (both males).
I hate to be in the position of asking, but I think our house and its' obedience are not big enough
so, with a hellion...
1. Will this phase pass eventually once neutered?
2. What if it tears up bonsai projects outdoors?

He can be so ADORABLE, loving and trusting, and in the flip of a hat, be rogue schizophrenic in a ballistic fashion.
Trusting not knowing fear at all, then skittish as heck. Fast as a hummingbird it is.
Bonzi (bon-zee) my 1st male kitten would mostly just pounce our rag doll 1/2 its weight, but nothing like this one.
He was in pain though, so maybe that kept him in check more than I know.
He's really pretty. We've had our cat since she was 8 weeks old. She has been loved and pampered shamelessly. Still, she'll sit outside our bedroom door and when we come out, she'll run like hell like we're ax murderers lol. Then she'll roll over and want her belly rubbed. Cat's are just weird.

@DonovanC that klugii is really neat. I just have dwarf whites, not very interesting to look at.

Yesterday I walk into the back of my basement, looking for the kitten, Jameson....and he nearly lands in my head leaping down from the rafters above like a Jaguar stalking prey......he's like a damn spider-monkey climbing all over the ceiling an shit.
Today I walk in and see this.....long enough to go back in the other room, come back and take a pic....not a care in the world....
I wish I could chill that hard.....I mean, I've never seen such flagrant comfort.

Obviously a male cat, females lounge a little more "delicately" lol.

This is our Smokey, he came from the rescue centre and is the most chilled cat that's ever owned us!, He was a fatty back then but he's old now and is much thinner..

This is our Daisy, She came from a home that was boistrous with young kids and dogs so she was semi feral, She hated men and wouldn't come to me until my wife was very ill and in hospital for several weeks, As I was feeding her she actually became friendly and came to lie on my lap! o_O
