I cried like a baby, first time and it was terrible.
We planted 2 in the front flower bed recently (seems recent)18 and 21 yrs old.
Said I wouldn't get another one after going through the renal failure
then our neighbor brought this little 2-4 week old kitten over and asked if it was ours?
I emphatically said NO! and here he is, my best friend.
Then at work I rescued one that had taken up residence inside and housekeeping
was ready to call animal control, so we now have a male and a female again

That day we both said NO MORE ANIMALS! Then last week my husband said maybe after our vacation in September, we would maybe check the shelters and rescue a cat. He misses her too.

Look what followed my kids home.

Billy, Bob, Joe, Dave and Fred.
I kinda want a pond basket and a willow to put in it.
Or any suggestions for a water loving tree that might survive indoors?

Years ago, putting betas (one per) in a clear glass vase with a peace lily in it were all the rage.

I remember those!
Bonsai fish don't last as long...

Toss those in a nice pond and see what happens ;)
My Dad actually ha a 30 gallon tank in his living room. He just gets the same 25¢ a piece feeder goldfish my kids bought and puts them in there, and they're all about 6 inches now. He used to keep them in his garden pond too - cheap substitute for expensive coy, and just as enjoyable - but he can't keep up on the garden like he used to.

My kids'problem, though...

Is they don't know when to stop!
Now we're up to 10 of them!

Years ago, my kids won goldfish at a homecoming tossing ping-pong balls in their glass vases. My brother gave me his old aquarium and they got really big.

I'll need to see about something better than pickle jars for sure.

I've been trying to prepare them for the likelihood that some will die, but I received quite the threat from my 6 year old tonight when her mom came to pick up the kids for the week.
Do you have any idea how terrifying a 6 year old girl can be?😬
