Does anyone think that oriental sweetgum would do well in Miami, Fl? I have seen that to zone 9 works but I am in zone 10a.

If you're that interested in it, you could always put it in the fridge for a month or two, as dormancy would be your biggest concern. I doubt it gets too hot there, no more so than zone 8 or 9. But you are probably going to miss out on the biggest attraction of the sweetgum, the fall foliage. Sure you will probably get some, but i doubt it would be anything like a more temperate climate.
