Oscillating Fan on Bonsai Trees

Hi,

I currently live in Vietnam where the climate is very hot and humid. However, I like sitting on my balcony in the afternoon to relax while looking at my trees.

The thing is that it gets really hot out there so I put an electrical fan. My question is do you think it is ok for the trees to have an oscillating fan blowing on them for a few hours every day. Would it damage the trees apart from drying the soil more quickly?

The fan is not strong enough to cause any visible damage but I wanted to ask just to make sure. I would think that it is the same as natural wind blowing on trees in nature.

Thank you

Should be fine.

Beautiful!

I love the blue stands!

It does seem a little muggy! Just a little lol!

Looks fine, except for it is so enclosed in places, I would be a bit concerned about a stronger draft always in a corner possibly drying out a section of a pot faster then elsewhere...not very likely at all...
But the right draft...the right pot, position and soil....

Yeah...looks fine!

Thank you my friend. Great forum...

If the weather was dry, it wouldn't be such a good solution, but I believe there's a high rate of humidity in Vietnam when it's hot?

Nice! That ficus ? In the white round pot...catches my eye. Recently defoliated...see its barren of leaves. But it has great character.

Being in Honduras two weeks a year...hot, humid air needs help with a fan. I can't see it an issue either. Circulation is good. I have a fan in my greenhouse as well.

Thank you for the comment. I will use the fan without concern then.
That ficus was really weak and not well taken care of when I bought it so I went through a major pruning to stimulate new strong leaves. I hope it works lol. I cut many branches that were weak and dying. I hope to make it come back to what it used to be as per this pic. I was wondering how did it survive that long in such a shallow pot. Now it has plenty more room so hopefully it gets even better hahaScreenshot_20180320-154131.png

I don't know the species...but, I know that many use shallow pots. I'm a bit more lazy with watering to go to shallow. My shallowest pot is 2" deep. But I wish you well on its recovering. A deeper pot...should help it recover I would think.
