Other then Bonsai study

This year I will be signing up to take either the Florida or the Colorado Master Gardeners Course, (Depending on were I will be living this coming year). Just wondering how many of you out there have had some kind of horticultural education other then bonsai apprenticeship or study? If you did take the Master Gardeners Course in your area were you satisfied with the course and would you say it was a very good learning experience?

The Master Gardeners course is a good one, it is not all inclusive by any means but does deliver a solid foundation of knowledge to build on.

Strangely enough, it turns out that some workshops that Vance Wood and myself are giving this year actually qualify as course credits for the Master Gardener course. Bonsai workshops, mind you. I think this is a good thing indeed.
