Over Wintering Bonsai Using Portable Greenhouse

Last week we had freezing nights in our area, I wrote an article sharing my experience with our local club members how I protect my tropical bonsai using a 10'x10' plastic portable greenhouse. I have been using this type of greenhouse for about 10 years, and have had good experience. It beats bringing bonsai in and out of garage. I use a small camping propane gas radiant heater to keep the greenhouse above 40F.

i want to share this experience with our forum members. The greenhouse I use is by King Canopy, and it is currently on sale from several online dealers, including Amazon with Prime shipping, I think it means free shipping.

Very cool! It seems like you like to feed your Ficus quite a bit ;)

I feed my ficus a lot. Those two in the photo are big. In Texas we have a long growing season. Ficus down here does not stop growing in greenhouse even in winter, growth just slow down.
