This is still my first year in bonsai, I bought my first Jan 7th 2012....and that one that was my first has been doing good, till now. I think after almost a year I overwatered it. Leaves are turning yellow then black. I repotted it the other day, I know not the ideal time of year but figured it was better than root rot.

Besides not watering and bunch of light...is there anything I can do to save it? ...its a Fukein tea and I know not a good bonsai due to the shape...but it was my first a year ago and I'd hate to lose it. I can post pics if that helps.

Hi Steve, yes pictures will probably help. F. Teas are pretty tough trees, but relatively hard to keep thriving. Sounds like it could be overwatering, how did the roots look when you repotted? Also was it outside for the summer, and you just moved it in? That can cause a tree to defoliate, but normally with correct watering they will bounce back.
