It looked like you had the trunk for a nice Jim Smith informal upright back in August 19, I would have left some height. I will say, I don't think I've ever seen a sumo afra bonsai so kudos for innovating.

Ehh I haven’t done anything yet. Just spit ballin. I I think no matter what design the lower branch will have to go. Think I’ll leave it in the pot it’s in for a while longer. I’m leaning towards a more formal tree as well.

What kind of lighting are you using to overwinter it?

I have a sunroom with a very big skylight. I don’t get crazy growth like the summer months but all my tropiclas do well.
