It’s ok Derek, I haven’t quit studying and learning in the 8 years since I made that typo. ?
I’d sure like to see an @EYESONMEMANN ume. That would be an even better beginning.

* Late winter/spring: after flowering, prune it back hard, to 1-2 nodes and repot.
I know it's an ooooold post... Can the repotting and pruning back be done in the same season?

LOL, I always forget which is which. Smooth or rough. BUT, I know that curled leaves produce flowers. That’s what I go by.

Smooth and curled = flowers. Mine is really late this year.
