I have a small Escambron I have been working on this year and I really love working with this species. So I bought this one about 2 months ago and have let it run. I am going to start pruning today and just wanted to document it before I start. I am in no hurry but the season is right.
For scale, it is in a 6 inch pot.

Nice! Looks like it should have plenty of stored energy to respond well to pruning. Must be something in the air, I just pruned my escambron earlier today also! :)
Agreed it is a really great species.

Did a bit of rough trimming of overlong stems, cross-overs etc and decided on a pot. The pot is perhaps a bit on the large size, but fits it's future plans. Besides, I always love showing off my pots.

It is alive but did not winter all that well. I think it may be a heavy feeder and it did not get fed enough. The cuttings look great.
