Hi there I have a Chinese pepper bonsai zanthoxylum piperitum.

I am New to bonsai this past 3 months or so. I also have a Fukien tea and a Chinese elm, all indoors.

I also have a grow light that my chinese and Fukien tea love for about 16 hours a day.

my pepper tree was doing fine under the grow light but has now become sunburnt. I didn’t know it was more prone but now I am aware!

the leaves are now at a stage where they are really drying and I believe they will fall off soon.

I do have some small growth with maybe 4 or 5 leaves that will be developing.

my question being , should I do anything once the leaves fall off? Will there be issue creating new ones as the majority if not all of the leaves have fallen so the tree can’t photosynthesise anymore? Or will new leaves just develop? Or do I need to prune any of the branches or anything?

thanks all very much in advance :)
