I can't figure this out. I think the tree is deliriously happy as I've had it for 20 or so years.
It keeps putting out NEW leaves that look all squidgelly. Sort of dead-ish or dry and shrivelly.
Not on all branches of course. Just enough to piss me off. And always NEW leaves.

The pic isn't really good but maybe you can see the ends and what I'm talking about.

I have it on a shelf that gets a bit more shade a bit earlier. I have other olives thriving and growing like mad in full blast sun.

(Maybe I'm answering my own question) But it gets SO hot here that I sorta "baby" it. ????

Any ideas or scolds from anyone?

I can't imagine babying an olive in the heat. Mine are usually desperate for more heat, more sun. What happens when you treat it like your others?

The new leaf shrivel may be pests. Check for thrips and aphids. Watering and light all the same? Olive varieties all the same? Maybe do the tap a branch over white paper thing...for pests. The new foliage, even with generally pest free species, is attractive to pests.

Did that. No bugs. I'm pretty sure it just wants MORE sun.
