I've taken off about 20 of these guys from one of my American elms. They've been eating leafs.

Any idea what kind of caterpillar they are? Best way to get rid of them other than what I'm already doing?

Thanks.

Use a powdered application of Bacillus thuringiensis, available at any garden center. It is harmless to everything but caterpillars.

I found this lil bugger. One of the last ones. My daughter wanted to keep it so I put it under a leaf on a grow out.

Next day I went to look for it.. It didn't move. At all. It was sucked dry by my defensive line.

Don't spray. Go natural!
