Ignore-Amus
I find a couple sub forums disgusting.
I say we eliminate the beginner forum.
If you can't make a tree why are you posting at a bonsai sight. A tree has to have many years of training before it can even be considered a bonsai. So why post a stick in a pot and think it is a bonsai.
Juniper forum has to go.
Junipers are not trees, they are shrubs and prostrate. They are hard to train, require wire for decades and are prone to spidermite. I find them disgusting.
Tropical Forum
I find it comical that people above the latitude of Florida even consider tropicals. They look out of place and are hard to train and keep for 95 percent of the population.
Events and outings I find this sub forum disgusting also. 90 percent of the time events are posted and then there are never any pictures posted of the event. What a waste of time. when there are pictures they are taken with a phone camera, out of focus and poorly composed. Again a waste of time.
The Soil Forum
Another disgusting site. I hate the argueing and reasoning about how good kitty litter is as a soil component. I can't stand the whining about the shipping on a bag of akadama that costs more than the plant is worth they want to plant it in. If you can't afford the art then get out.
The Tool Forum
This could be a good forum for those that know what their doing but there are those that come here and clog it all up with threads about straightening wire, tools for bonsai from tools in the garage and buying wire by the kilo instead of 50 cents worth. This is an expensive hobby, maybe one should start a site for beginners that want to do bonsai on a budget?
The Forum in General
If I have to listen or read about one more person that has a "tree that is dying", or "can you help me style this stick in a pot", or "is oil dry good for planting bonsai in". How about "I bought this pot and I want to repot it now, what do you guys think"?
I am just as entitled to have the forum the way I want it right? Anyone agree or am I just being a little childish?
Satire....gotta love it......
