The other day I was taking pictures of these birds playing in the waterfall and also pictures of flowers etc... and thought these 2 came out pretty cool.

The tree close is the back of an Austrian Black Pine and the tree afar is a ponderosa pine.

Isn't depth of field great! I can't remember what you are shooting on but the addition of an off camera strobe or two would be a great addition to your photography arsenal. With snoots or grids you could have painted each tree with enough light from low shooting upward

A great site to keep an eye on if you want to move to the next level is the strobist. Amazing stuff done and discussed here. It may be done with gear more advanced than what you are using but you will be able to get inspiration from the various entries for sure.

Keep shooting your trees. You got some beauties and a good eye for some fantastic compositions.
