Pine tree ID

Hi,
Can anyone help me ID this pine tree my Dad gave to me. It’s a garden tree that has been growing in a container for the past 10 years. My Dad said it’s a Japanese black pine but I just want to be sure. Thank you.

It’s an awkward tree, Maybe one day I’ll try and do something with it but for now I’ll just let it grow, Thank you for your reply.
