Last weekend I had the chance to attend the bonsaikurs that @Walter Pall and Thomas Häring offer close to Munich. The course was probably the best bonsai experience I have had since I started doing bonsais. It was just a two day course where I had the opportunity to work on some trees. I had the chance to style two yamadoris of Pinus sylvestris, and I brought home one of them after the styling.

Both pines were yamadoris that were dug by Thomas Häring some years ago. This is the first one that I styled under the guidance of @Walter Pall (and the one I originally bought):

It was in pot by Bryan Albright:

The second day I worked on another sylvestris yamadori with a clear literati style.

I changed, my mind and I ended up buying this one instead of the previous one. It is also in a pot by Bryan Albright:

Both are very nice, good job 👍

On the first pic of your post #2 (with the 2 pines together), there is a strange tool/pliers on the bottom left of the pic.. 1rst time i see such a tool .. what is it used for ?
