Hello!! I’m new to this forum as well as being a bonsai mama! So I’m hoping someone on here can help me! I’m having terrible anxiety about my 16yr old juniper bonsai tree, Bodhi. I’ve had him for about a year, I live in Florida and my bonsai resides in my screened in lanai under a clear weatherproof roof. The some needles have started to turn brown especially in the back and kind of underneath... I spray him pretty regularly and water about every other day. I use the chopstick method so I thiiiink the watering is good? Started using Miracle Grow all purpose about every 3 weeks. I haven’t repotted him yet either. Also I’m scared to aggressively prune him or the brown spots bc I feel like he won’t grow them back.. He’s been looking very bare recently and the brown spots are really worrying me... I read about summer dormancy but idk if that’s what this is. There’s also these tiny tiny little gray bugs in the soil but only in soil I haven’t really seen any webs. I just bought Ortho 3 in 1 insect more and disease sprays which I’m planning on using. I don’t want to repot right now even though I feel like I need to bc he’s not healthy.... can someone please help me or tell me what’s wrong??! Thank you! (here’s some current pics)
