Potted up this seasons 1st JWP today
DSC_6071.JPG
Then 3 more JWP went into the ground. Will look stupid when the Lillies come up on each end but my wife allowed it
if I agreed to cut back a Sargents juniper I have under one of the kitchen windows. Didn't tell her that's a July job yet

Got my first fish of the year last weekend in a light rain....on a Crappie jig.
Not a bad one to start the season.
Spring Bass and Repotting.....goes together like Jameson and Ginger Beer.

He thought he was gonna eat that tasty-looking “spider-pede”...

...sometimes things just don’t work out how you plan them.

He put up a good fight too, on the little 4.5 foot ultralight rod!
I'm gonna go catch more with my kid on Monday, kid's off school so I have to stay home too....drat! All that chilling and fishing and not working is gonna be tough......

Had 7 yellow finches around the feeder today.DSC_6113.JPG
This is actually 3 of them. One female I believe, perched on the feeder, and 2 that appear to be colliding on takeoff.

Up swoop down swoop. It is gratifying to capture a picture like this for me using the camera on single frame mode.
Kinda like fishing, it takes patience. Dogwoods starting to bloom so ok to pot most conifers

Because of the Covid-19 lockdown, my son has a lot of time on his hands. When he doesn't paint psychedelic paintings, he goes mountain-walking. Since it's forbidden to make open fires in the forests, he plants some of his "psychedelic" paintings to warm up people 😄

Same here. I was expecting this, but it still surprised me that I got sandblasted by hail stones yesterday and woke up to an inch of snow today. Thank goodness that we're not diving that far below zero, we might actually have some cherries this summer.
How's your cherry tree doing? If memory serves me right, you have a big cherry tree somewhere.
