I would have to hit the books to ID the shrooms. You should get a local fungus guide, library or local mushroom hunting club for an in person guide.

You are in the woods enough that you could forage a significant supplement to the family diet. There's at least 10 different edible shrooms in your half of Wisconsin. Get to know them.

My 1st pr of Hanwags. Not sure if they're keepers, the toe box is a bit snug, but like the 3 roller ball eyelets.
Have been a USA made Danner fan for quite a while and they sell good on eBay but with my injuries they
are hurting my joints now, so trying to switch is a bitch. Oboz fan right now, they just hold up for years
but are polite to my joints for a good year anyway.

Yes, you could auction off some of those too big for an old foggy to keep. Maybe if you're lucky you could just trade them straight-across for small trees. PM me and I'll see if I can help you out. (That's the kind of guy I am)

This particular area has MANY natural “rafts” like this.. I will get a scad of pictures next time.
