found these in 1.5 hrs, 20-40 year tumbles and makes you wonder the stories (drunken) that they derive from

Those stones are really pretty colours!!

I love things geological and a have a couple of geodes and other bits of rock that I like!

I think the geodes are Agate..

The one on the left seems to have been dipped in to some gold coloured meta, Like gold it's doesn't tarnish so it's not brass, Don't know what it it really!!

I never thought to take a pic of the other side and now i've no idea where they are!

Wow! Those cut Ammonites are fabulous! 😍

The little fossil I have is, I think just a shellfish!

I'm not sure if I showed this mammoth tooth before, I bought it cheap (£20 or £25, Think it was twenty though)at a local carboot sale (Fleamarket type thingin a field!)

I was going to cut the tooth up to stabilise for knife handles but felt sure i'd just destroy it which would have been a shame so I left it as is!

Cheers, John 👍

Very cool! The tooth seems like a great find for a flea market. On youtube I enjoy the channel paleochris quite a bit and he finds some mammoth teeth or mastodon and agates, megladon teeth arrowhead, all sorts of things

I'm happy to share a couple pics from Mountain Meadows nursery yesterday.
This is a couple of groupings of Pinus strobis. I feel i captured good
composition
with this photo. I can certainly project and immerse myself into the scene, but easier having been there.

Going through old pictures, I came across this. As I do not know where the giant bonsai picture thread is..:
It’s in General Discussion

Here’s a Netleaf Hackberry I saw the other day. Really weird ramification. No joke, the whole tree looked like there

There’re other hackberries in this area and none looked like it

I love it !

Would have perhaps chosen sturdier, more angular legs, but that's a beautiful table.
Just in time for Christmas, the correct trestle base came in this Monday.
Still have to clean it up and put some bees wax to the trestle, and underside.
Still have to get some threaded anchors and drill the bottom to secure together.
