Agreed it does not completely save you. However a properly administered nix/Mac can be well secured. Windows simply can't as long as they operate from a central registry. The danger comes on Macs is when people get complacent and run from an admin account. As the old hacking adage says, "if there is a way out there is a way in..." so no connected machine is ever totally safe.

All this talk makes me miss my Commodore 64, now that was a piece of technology!
