Here are a few pictures of a plum stump I dug up this spring. I don't know what the problem is with these leaves. The affected parts of the leaves start out with a kind of have a grey to silvery almost translucent color on them. It looks almost like a thin film on the leaves but is in the leaf not on the surface of the leaf. It turns to bleach white once the tissue dies.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank
riley

May be a leaf borer. Plums are borer magnets.

Get a spray bottle of Ortho Disease B Gon Copper Fungicide. The one I use is for flowers, fruits, & vegetables. If our potted fruit trees get any of that I clip off and burn the affected leaves and wet the tree down well on a dry morning with the fungicide and it prevents further damage and damage to new growth.
After it rains on it wait until it is dry and re-treat. In the Spring when that plant is starting to push apply the fungicide - you will find it is the best time for plums, apples, and pears. Those are the only trees I have tried it on and it works fine.
Copper Fungicide is commonly referred to as Copper Soap ;)
