I took these Punica cuttings last season from a small stump growing in my allotment...all 3 have produced roots, with one surprising me with a pretty decent radial spread.
Ive potted them up in a shallower container on top of a plastic tile, with a view to building a 3 tree clump...
Long term project, id like much more height eventually

I removed the weakest one, the two left are absolutely thriving. This will potentially be a twin trunk tree. The trunks are quite firmly rooted now and the branches are thickening nicely. Lots of branches to work with.

I did a little styling on this twin trunk.
Will allow it to grow freely next season...
There's plenty of branches to choose from on this tree...The ones I may not need ive just cut short for now, I can change my mind down the line if need be

Fantastic root growth! What were they potted on?

Do you have an idea for a final height? I.e, how tall is the apex in that virt?

The cuttings were planted on a piece of plastic inside a training pot in Cat litter. Its pretty good root development for a season. I'd like the tree to be around 12in even pushing 15in if the proportions look right, I dont see why not though.
There was a third cutting at the back that didnt make it, since they root so easily I could take another cutting from the mother tree and stick it in the background, we'll see. This will be like a twin trunk tree I see in the parks around here.
