We're finally covered in snow here in WY. It took a while to get any descent snow this year, (the weather man said this is the driest winter in 118 years...!) but it's here and I'm in the mood to ski and snowshoe.

Here are some pic's from this last year.

The tree I'm standing next to in the pic above was collected in April (2012).

I hope you all have had a wonderful year! And I wish you all a wonderful 2013!!!

There is more of this tree and the winter pics on my blog! www.backcountrybonsai.wordpress.com

Beautiful Dan. I went to school with a guy who worked for the park service in Wyoming back in the 80's. He talked about winters where he had to deal with 15 foot snow drifts covering his jeep in the driveway! That's alot of snow! I wouldn't want to have to shovel the jeep out, but I guess it's great for yamadori making. So heres wishing you a 15 foot snow drift in 2013!

Happy New Year!

Dave

Still waiting here Dan for winter. Only have had a light snow and it's melting away.

Pretty cool looking Pondy! And what a backyard view you have! So much open country! lol

Have a great 2013!

Thanks guys.

Dave, I remember snow like that when I was a little kid...but sadly those days seem far behind us these days. I don't think we've had anything like that in probably 10-15 years. The most we get any more is a few feet. -- Of course the higher elevations still get some good snows...I guess I'll have to move up.

Fore, that's probably my favorite thing about where we live... the view. Plenty of open spaces and mountains in the background. :)
