I have 2 ponderosa pines. They are in seperate 1 gallon containers. They are seedling about 6 inches tall. Since they are so young, Whats the best way to protect them from winter here in central Ohio?

Throw some mulch around the pots and they should be fine. Mine are considerably older …I just put them in some mulch in a raised bed and they’re fine

I wouldn't really worry too much about protecting them. Ponderosa are hardy to USDA Zone 3. Ohio has 5 and 6...Mulch the pots a bit on the ground, find a place out of the wind...FWIW, I leave mine out all winter with no protection.
