I have 2 ponderosa pines. They are in seperate 1 gallon containers. They are seedling about 6 inches tall. Since they are so young, Whats the best way to protect them from winter here in central Ohio?
I wouldn't really worry too much about protecting them. Ponderosa are hardy to USDA Zone 3. Ohio has 5 and 6...Mulch the pots a bit on the ground, find a place out of the wind...FWIW, I leave mine out all winter with no protection.
