I was going to let these go for another year but they keep blowing over from being too top heavy. Some of them nearly uprooted themselves. They are all cuttings from this spring. Before and after cutting them all back.

These are bigger than the ones I started with in the spring but I’ve got enough.

It's a waste to just throw them away. They root so easy, just give them away as gifts, maybe get someone interested in the hobby.

I’ve given away so many already. If anyone on this forum is local I’d gladly give them 3 or 4 rooted cuttings if they can pick up. I have 20 or so from the same mother plant. Nothing huge but they’re all healthy.

Yes they do best in wide pots I've found, otherwise they tip over. Try some rocks on top of the pot to weigh them down.

I just butchered down a large P-A I got from Lowes for $15. I have so many cuttings lol, but probably not as much as you. I have a future Shohin, and a forest planned with the larger cuttings, but I have way more cuttings than what I need or want...I've been thinking of what do to with all of them and I believe I found a great solution. My wife wants to start selling succulents, candles, and concrete planters she's been making. I figure if I can make a mold of a small, cheap, plastic bonsai pot and make a bunch of concrete copies of it, I can just root all of them do some simple stylings for next year and sell them at the farmers market with my wife's other stuff for like $20 each. I know some people frown at "mallsai" bonsai, but I'll have them in proper soil, and provide correct watering/care guides as well as links to some Portulacaria Afra bonsai instructions. If I sell enough, I'll use the funds to buy some decent specimens of trees I really want. It will help me fund my hobby, and maybe get others in the area interested in Bonsai. As far as I know, I'm the only one within a 2 hour drive that has an interest in tree torture.

The same ones in the green bulb pan. I keep them in my "neglect until they look unique pile"

I think I took these last summer. Back to the neglect pile for another year or so.
