It can be any bonsai tree, and of course it's not about posting pics of finished bonsai or debating whether they are 'bonsai' yet or not, it can be at any stage of development as long as it's your smallest tree, it's just for fun.

Behold, my 2" juniper

Nice :)

Here's my smallest tree. Also yet to be moved to a bonsai pot which I'm dreading as these things simply keel over peg when reducing the rootball. I'm really not sure why they're used for bonsai! Anyhow... here it is.

wow, that's gorgeous. It would definitely look better in a nice pot, but it's worrying to hear about the risk of repotting it.

Here's 2 of mine, the first its a Chinese Elm on a Japanese pot, just 3.5 inches tall from the soil level. The other its a cutting from a Nana Juni on a Tokoname pot, just 2 1/8" from soil level.

That Itoiwaga Shimpaku movement its very impressive, I love it!

Now, if I could only find something to fill out this pot rather than a coin!...

Itoigawa shimpaku, 6" tall. I only have a couple shohin trees...too small a margin of error for me.

I don't remember seeing this one, Brian. Beautiful. Ishi? I was working on mine last night and thinking I need to do do more. Yours is giving me some great thoughts.

Thanks, not an Ishii, but an import.
