Depending on you plant and where you keep it, Neem oil may be a good choice esp since it is getting colder already.

Do they tend to gather in clumps? Do they move around? The skin looks like it's from a leafhopper...I had an infestation of them this summer on some plants. Chris

Get some Bayer three in one and treat your trees, it will knock them right out. John
