Going off to college, UNCW, in three weeks. Need to reduce my collection. Selling what I’m not putting in the ground or keeping on my benches.

Local pickup would be great, preferable actually, although I am willing to ship. The Kishu is quite large though and would be best picked up locally.

I don’t know what these are worth honestly, so just make an inquiry and we can work something out. I’ll put them on the FB auctions page but I’m hoping someone around here will take them.

Red Chojubai, can either be wired into a windswept style bonsai, a more traditional clump style, or used as an accent plant. Just got done with it’s summer leaf shed. 6” pot.

Next is a chaste, I really like this one but it’s NOT happy with the weather lately- it’s the rainy season, been raining daily the last week and will all next week. I think it’s in the best interest of the tree to move on to a drier climate. It’s got a ton of potential though, the species bark is excellent IMO.

What Kishu are you referring to? I didn't see any pictures.

These are Dwarf Barbados Cherry cuttings, I have 11-12 of them for sale. They are my favorite tropical species, flowers smell and look wonderful and they’re vigorous growers. Fruit is attractive. Bark corks up with a little time too. Most are already wired but some additional shaping would be great. Some pots have 2-3 plants in them. All have wonderful potential with some growing out, a spacious colander would do wonders. ((Overkill on pictures I know))

Kishu shimpaku from evergreengardenworks. Purchased as a “mother” tree to take cuttings from. It also has potential, I imagine after some work the tree can be built from what’s in the latter images. Lots of shari/deadwood work to be done. It’s quite tall and so shipping would probably be outrageous.

Yeah, is there any way you would ship the Chojubai? Do you have just one specimen or more?

@Melospiza Yes, I can ship the smaller trees. I’m waiting to hear back from someone about the chojubai, but if they don’t get back tomorrow it’s up fo grabs.

And thank you @Dav4 ! They’ve kinda thrown a wrench in my plans for a double major, so I’m not quite sure what’s going to happen. We’ll see!

Look... kick ass in college, become rich and famous, retire at a fairly young age, then devote all your free time to bonsai... easy peasy! In the mean time, plant your stuff in the ground and do seasonal work when you're home on breaks.

I'm currently in "sell mode" as well (just have too many projects taking time away from better trees) so I'll have to pass, but good luck in college! Enjoy it, it goes fast.

Man that’s the plan! Lol. Retire to the Hawaiian mountainside, views of the ocean and bonsai from the immaculate living room.

I’ve got lots of stuff in the ground, and I’ve already seen a huge difference in growth. Exciting stuff.

Thanks, I certainly will try! I had reached the same point as you even before I had decided on college.

I’m thinking $50 for the kishu, and $10 per DBC. Would love to find someone local to pick up the kishu.

Could you possibly try and weigh and enter dimensions in USPS and check what maybe 2 or 3 day shipping would cost? Im interested in that, GA isnt far from NC so maybe its kinda affordable?

It looks great!!

Good luck in the schooling btw!!

Yes I can enter the dimensions and weight on their website. Which specific tree(s) are you interested in? And thanks! I’m very excited to be at a real University.

The chojubai is SOLD.

Shipping for the cherries is going to be cheap, they’re very light. And being tropical could probably be shipped without pots in tubes.
