Hello Guys,

My favorite cotoneaster bonsai seems to have a problem after repotting.
I don't have any idea what can be causing the leaves tips to dry and dieback.(See the pictures)
In 9 years I was Repotting it several times, take care of him as usual, no problems at all....until now.
Please Let me know if you experienced the same or what it can be the cause of this illness.
Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
AndreiS

Your probs dealing with some sort of fungus.

I loved my little Cotoneaster. But I experienced something very similar looking. It eventually succumbed to whatever was going on. Here’s the thread for that. Maybe it’ll help and yours won’t see the same fate as mine.

I had myriad problems with cotoneaster.
Mine were kinda skinny ones and all of them gradually went bad. (Read "dead.)

Then one day a neighbor lady asked me if I wanted one of hers that she dug and was tossing out.
Picked it up from her gutter and brought it home.
This one was a thick trunk one.

chopped and repotted and it started to improve.

This year I did as advised in a bunch of cotoneaster advice places and stuck it in REALLY FREE DRAINING substrate. I mean water in-water out ..FAST.. drain.

It likes it.
