hello, this juniper was given to me this fall by a friend who just didnt have any time to do anything with it(he has a small orchid business,the trees were just more to water and care for)i know he bought this at natures way a few years ago,its pretty much just beeen growing out since. it has alot of foliage to deal with.any suggestions?

I think I'd get rid of the tail, entirely, change the planting angle so the remainder is more upright, drastically thin the top and end up with a very nice bunjin with a great trunk. Background's too messy to do a virt.

thanx jkl..im going to to take some better pics,I was just taking pics of the yard to plan some spring projects..i was thinking of making this a smaller upright tree,it has some nice lines from all angles,thinking of using this line

Maybe with even fewer branches eventually. For now, this is as far as I would go. Bend the remaining branch up and around, following the poorly drawn red arrow.
