One of my dogs knocked my juniper off my bench. The nursery pot broke and I lost a decent amount of nursery soil. About 1/3 of the bottom of the roots have dried out. Just curious what people's thoughts are on survival of this tree after losing 1/3 of the roots and not the time to repot this tree.

If it's only 1/3 of the roots, you should feel optimistic.

It wouldn't hurt to protect it from wind and direct sun for a couple of months.

I just repotted a procumbens Nana this spring and trimmed about that much of the roots off. Two random branches died, but otherwise it’s looking healthy and rebounding just fine. So, I would expect your tree should be ok.
