Prunus - Help on Type

Saw this as potential tree to air layer in my hood. About 12-15 feet. Vase shaped and natural multiple trunks. Leaves ovate and slightly serrated. Many suckers coming from the base. I’m thinking it is a flowering plum. Any other ideas?

Gummosis is a bitch. I would leave this tree alone. Because it could be cytospora canker, which to my knowledge is incurable.

Looks right for peach...by flower anyway.

Still too early to be sure. I also thought peach. If all the flowers ore on last year's wood peach is more likely but Prunus cerasifera is also a possibility with those leaves, bark and especially suckering but flowers are smaller than peach. Plums also develop small fruiting spurs so not all flowers will be on newer wood.
Check back as the fruit matures for a more accurate ID.
I have been constantly frustrated by peach as bonsai. Growth habit is difficult to bet good ramification and they do have problems with a number of diseases. Flowers look great for a few days but not worth the constant battle for that. Plenty of much better species for bonsai IMHO.

The nodules on the trunk are odd but no sap actually weeping so this may not be gummosis.

It is a very old tree as seen with the bark. The brown on the bark may be lichen as it faces the water vs gummosis. Looked like flowers on last years base suckers.
When I was looking at all the flowering prunus to determine the ID I saw some brown crust on a lot of trunks.
This is a famous park for cherrys, however they put in the standard single trunk grafted type. No multi-stemmed went in.
