Damn! Similar? You stole mine! Lol.

Have we seen this before?
I feel like I told you about mine, about yours, maybe it was someone else!

Mine has the exact same too low buds too, which is why I am so hesitant to cut it yet.

I almost took a saw to it yesterday again!
Can't do it yet!

The last pic of your first post actually looks pretty developable. I like that image.

I love that we have both taken totally diferent approaches to training very similar tree's. I am attempting to turn mine into a banyan style.

That's not out of the question for this yet....a banyan.

I'm going to look for your update.

Trum.

Look at them tiny leaves!

Now how to always get them!?

I can't wait to repot this thing....
In like three years!

I might give this a little more height lifting it out of the soil a bit, with more roots showing, so I can cut back to the highest natural low branch on the right.

Earthworms, pill bugs (@Anthony caught one eating a dropped new leaf sheath, harmless and helpful!, centipedes, ....

You ever watch the shit that crawls up a trunk after you water?

Mazin!

@sorce,

remember not just tiny leaves.

Leaves in proportion to what you are growing and with density.
Often you get tiny leaves and lots of space.
Looks odd.
Try sun and good fertilising.

Not always defoliation.
Good Day

Any updates...

Root grafts were unnecessary...
Seems the cuts, and cut paste were good alone to start growing roots.
The inserted cuttings just got in the fucking way!:p lol!

Rethreaded a branch thru the old leader graft hole amd it closed....dont know if it "took" but its locked in.

Mad growth....ill get pics.

How's the glue wound seal working this season? I've got some 3"+ chop scars to heal on my benjamina and so far I've left them uncovered.

Hey sorce it's been ages.....but I am back with a vengance.....
What's happening with of Franken Ficus? You really ought to call it that......(though I get credit for the name is Franken Ficus ever goes to a show).

How are you planning on overwintering this beast? My ficus gets really annoyed with me in the winter....I just can't give it enough light and temp..

I got 4 new fluorescents yesterday.

Keeping my one good tiny ficus under the Aerogarden LED again.

They're coming inside this weekend.

S
They don't mind rwgular fluorescents? Or you have them under aquarium plant fluoros?

Knocking up a LED set up sounds like a plan..
