I found this tool to be most helpful to have around for making PVC framed enclosures. This model is marketed by MintCraft SKU # 538-3500 was at the local Hardware store for under 20usd. The tool handles cutting up to 1 1/2 inch thick pvc easily utilizing a wratchet type system.
The BEST feature is I don't have to clamp, saw, and then clean up all the cutting mess. It gives a nice clean cut :D Also saves on electric as do most hand tools.

I'll have to look for this. I plan on building a simple PVC pip frame to support the roof of my cold pit.

Ha! That's what that is for. I have had one in my tool box for years. Forgot what I bought it for.
