Pyracantha Question

Just bought a Pyracantha from a person who was growing it indoors under artificial lights. Apparently he thought this was a tropical tree. He only had it for 2 years and this was going to be the second winter that it spent indoors.
I live in Nj and temps here are currently below freezing.
Can I keep this tree indoors one more season? I know it needs a dormant period, but at this time it's too cold outside and bringing it outside might shock and kill it.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
steve

Pyracantha never really go into dormancy here. They seem to grow all winter. If you can get enough light to it I guess I would try to keep it indoors this winter, and give it a 'normal' introduction to winter next year.
