Question about Brush Cherry?

So, I know this is probably supposed to be common knowledge, but how do I reduce the size of the leaves on my brush cherry? I know there's pinching and bud-pinching and other techniques, but I've never really found a good guide on how to do it successfully. I guess my real question is, how do I prune my brush cherry correctly to reduce leaf size?

More light = smaller leaves. Give it as much sun as possible, prune the branches so that all leaves get maximum light.
