Kousa dogwood. I noticed it has a couple sets of new leafs and seems to have rooted. Just 3" tall with 4-6 leafs, half of those are small. This is in my big potted maple soil. We have tough winters and was planning on leaving the maple and kousa outside unless a blizzard on back of garage. Should I pot this little dogwood now to protect it more or just leave it and hope it handles the snowy cold winter?

Thanks

I'd leave it where it is and let it overwinter with the maple. The Kousa is hardy to zone 5 and should do fine outside all winter long in a protected area in your yard.
