Question about pre bonsai Pomegranates

Hello to all
I live in zone 9 (Florida) and pomegranates do very well here. However, I have purchased a pre bonsai pomegranate and want to put it into a bonsai pot is it to late. thanks again, I am very new and trying to start with what grown in my zone.

My wife got me one for Christmas. I just popped it out raked the soil abit and put it into a bigger pot with new soil around it. It's done great. But as.far.as taking all the soil off I'm not sure. But I would give it a go.

Do you have any pictures of the tree?
