Hello!
These buds look the same since November, I had to put a frost blanket on it as we have extremely cold winters. Should I put it in a plastic bag now?

P.s. I'm new to bonsai so please don't be too harsh on me, I know the wires and wiring is far from good.

IMO, bud development looks appropriate and healthy for this part of the year. We are just days away from March. Note that spring buds are absolutely loaded with carbohydrates and thus have MUCH more frost tolerance in comparison to a fully formed leaf. So very very late frosts are sometimes more cause for concern than early ones.

EDIT: Nothing wrong with using a plastic bag for overnight cold snaps, but I'd leave it off during daytime.

Thank you, I was afraid that I've done some damage to the tree by covering it in November.

Also, Frost blankets are perfectly fine to use during cold spells to help protect one’s trees. Often put on in the evening and taken off during the day. Leaving yours on seems not to have caused damage.

btw: Your wiring is not that bad…. I’ve seen far worse!

cheers

Thank you, and thank you for the compliment, I alway end up being too afraid of damaging this little tree, this time I was kinda rushing it so I didn't even think on which two branches to put the wire. Plus I live in a country where copper wire is easier to find in the walls of an abandoned building than in a shop, so i had to use fat aluminum wire.
