Question for Broken Branch

Hello everyone,

I just aquired this tree, there is 2 places on the Tree were the branches had broken previous to me acquiring it.

Can anyone please advise if I should apply / fill in some cut paste? Or let it heal the way that it has been since the breaks happened.

Winter is around the corner and the wounds will be exposed to the awful elements here in the Northeast.

Just let it be for now the wounds are closed. next year you can carve it out a bit and use a razor to cut the callous then put some cut paste to speed it up a bit.
