This part is doing well.

The cut trunk in the ground still holds perfect leaves.

So that cut trunk died.

I kind of back burnered this since I'd like to see it much healthier before continuing at all.

Didn't have a great spring, but I cut it back before SC and it's grown back well.

Recently found some bright green aphids tended by some large ants. Burned em twice and they ain't been back.
No chemicals. Negligible Damage.20190821_075353.jpg

Looking good!
I lost my exposed root crab to squirrels/bacteria. It had powdery mold so I set it back away from my trees. My fault...closer to the feeding patio for the critters. They chewed the roots and that area turned orange. Assuming a bacterial thing began. The tree shriveled up. Bummer...I had just had a definitive direction with it. But...lesson here is location to quarantine. That was a poor move. Closer to where I gather water so I wouldn't forget it. But steps away from where the eared corn is placed for the squirrels. It's there hang out area.

@GailC made a great airlayer, Excellent flat bottom. This is the first time I'm seeing it.
I probably should have worked these roots better before. I am paying for my fear of "off time" repotting before.

This dry DE was wetted.

Then the after.

The right wire was inserted passively, just to pin.
Then the left wire to crank down.

Watch these roots come all waning moon, now that it's happy and rid of Pests.

Since I didn't find any description on BN....have to ask you...
I regularly see your "training pots"
Composed of kind of a plate and some mesh? Are these connected? Never had trouble these unintentionally disintegrate?

I haven't talked about them in so long! But I linked it elsewhere today!

They should last forever!

Still gotta treat em with something.

Do you treat it even though there’s no sign of mold/ disease? I have several crabs in diff stages. Does copper fungicide or neem oil work?

Just something to seal the cracks and let it heal over, maybe glue, maybe concrete....maybe not!
