Here in Northern VA we've been having the wettest weather I can remember. My question is do I need to worry about overwatering with all the rain? Should I put my trees under some kind of cover to keep the rain off of them? I have two plants that are in bonsai soil (conifer mix from Meehan's miniatures). The rest of my plants are right from the nursery in whatever soil they used. These are the ones I'm most worried about.

I put a load of hydro pellets (marble size) on the bottom of every nursery pot, it's a standard procedure for me here in the wetlands that have been awfully dry this year.
They're clogged after every winter, but then it'll be repotting time.

It might be overly cautious, it might just be the extra boost they can use. When the frost hits, all soil will freeze solid and stay frozen for a few days even when temperatures rise and rain keeps pooring. The hydro pellets will allow excess water to drain to some extent even though there's a giant brick of ice in the center of the pot. Far from perfect, but it works and it's cheap.
