quite a few leaves (top side only) have sticky residue on them and this red/brown stuff only on the underside. Any idea what it is and how to get rid of it? Brought the plant indoors about 3 weeks ago and been watering about every 6 days or so. Was really happy outside but overnight lows were getting into the upper 30s (NC), so brought it inside. Seemed to be doing fine inside until I noticed all this. Thanks!

Fungus. A plant anti-fungicide should take care of it. Sometimes the fungus can be a symptom of aphids. I don't see any, but check to see that you don't have any critters on the branches or underside of leaves.
