Been a little slow to leaf out this year. But it looks like it will have nice growth soon. Its got those early "drooping" leaves which are very nice this time of year.

Going to go for growth and repot next spring. Will fertilize this year rather generously.

Grew well early spring. Gave it a prune up and then, after this picture, pruned it back harder. My other red maple which was hard pruned a week ago is shooting buds like crazy, so... i guess now is the time!!!

Yeaaaahhh!!! Really happy with the growth this year. I hope I get some bad ass fall color. Tons of buds and little options for next year as well.

I feel like I finally got the timing down on these. This one probably will be repotted next year.

End of year. Had some great color on this tree so I brought it into the office for a few days. Really looked great. I was so happy to see it look like burning fire against the drab office gray. Next year I have it marked for a repot. It drains well but the roots still need some adjusting and work before I can leave it longer. It was repotted in 2022 so this was a rest year for the roots.

@Bonsai Nut can you change the thread title to Acer Rubrum (Red Maple) #2? Still trying to match my catalogue on some of these earlier posted trees. Thanks.

And after leaves have dropped.
