4 nights at Julian Price Campground on the Parkway.Gotta love it!.......Showers too.
Left at 2am this morning.Got here at 11:30 and pitched the tent and shelter

But right alongside a 50 mile Blue Ridge view.

Climbed fourteneers in Colorado and stayed at most of the AMC huts up here, so I've "paid my dues"...…...

Dont know how long you are planning on staying but the Carolina bonsai expo is Saturday and Sunday from 9am-5pm. Enjoy your time with nature, it’s to get away from the everyday life.

the scenery is Almost Heaven....

BTW, Apologies to my West Va. brethren, but The song "Country Roads--Almost Heaven" is about WESTERN VIRGINIA. It was written by a pair of directionally challenged Washingtonians. Neither of whom had been to W.Va. The Blue Ridge doesn't run through W.Va.. It is the eastern ridge of the Appalachians, breaking into its own range in Va. forming the eastern border of the Shenandoah Valley--, and only a small portion of the Shenandoah River runs through W.Va. .

Scenery........this cliff is great.Best $20 I spent in awhile....To enter Grandfather Mountain Park.

I took a 4k video of that last photo for quite a while.
The clouds rolling around was amazing.
One of the greatest times of my life! Definately will make the 9 hour drive next year.
