Hello guys,
I have questions about when to repot, wire and trim my tropical trees. I am almost at the end of summer here in Tucson, AZ (Zone 9). Temperature at noon reaches 90 F in my area and will start cooling down at the end of October. I am planning on repotting, styling and wiring the following:

Dwarf Pomegranate
Golden Gate Ficus
Acerola (Barbados Cherry)

Please help me out. I checked the website on the Phoenix Bonsai Society. It has a lot of useful info but not exactly about my question. Thank you

How cold does it get in the winter there?

Might be late for repotting depending on how cold it gets there.

I usually repot here around July 4th.

Your ideal repotting time might be a bit earlier than that given the fact your spring/summer is probably much earlier than mine.

I repot all my tropicals in the summer, but IL is very different than AZ.

With the poms and ficus.. as long as decent indoors conditions can be sustained.. ORRR they are growing vigorously outdoors (and you know how to properly care for plants), this KIND of work can be done anytime. There ARE “best” times for CERTAIN reasons..

🤓 (And I’ll add “YOUR condition” to this statement)
