Hello everyone...

My name is Nikola and I am new to bonsai.I just started this summer and really got into it.Anyway I bought this Juniper from nursery stock, pruned it , wired it and made it into a bonsai. Now it's still in a nursery pot and I want to repot it to a bonsai pot. When do you think it;s the best time to repot it and do some major rootpruning, without damaging the plant?

Thanks

Yep next Spring
If too early you can lose a year or two or worse being new.
I’ve lost the entire year and cannot thin my cascade juniper as I reported it
last March as new growth was pushing, I’m in USDA zone 6.
For me it’s best to wait till mid April or later even May, but I get my junipers bushy
with lots of foliage prior to such insults to speed recovery.
Feed full strength fertilizer now through say a month before frosts assuming you are in a climate
that will provide dormancy. Step down the strength of food then till a good frost hits and coast.
Keep in full Sun now too, to take advantage of storing reserves for Spring.
